God's Plan of Salvation

The Bible holds a very precious promise of salvation. God has made salvation available to all people, as long as they are willing to obey Him and follow His commands.

The Bible tells us that sin came into the world in the Garden of Eden (Genesis 3) and that it has been here ever since. It also tells us that sin seperates us from God (Isaiah 59:1-2). Because of sin, we have no hope for eternity without our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ (Romans 6:22-23).

To gain this gift of salvation, we must follow God's commands:

  • Believe that Jesus is the Christ – John 20:31 = “but these are written that you may believe that Jesus is the Christ, the Son of God, and that believing you may have life in His name.”

  • Repent of your sins - Luke 13:3 - “I tell you, no; but unless you repent you will all likewise perish

  • Confess faith in Jesus Christ - Matthew 10:32,33– “32 "Therefore whoever confesses Me before men, him I will also confess before My Father who is in heaven. 33 But whoever denies Me before men, him I will also deny before My Father who is in heaven.

  • Be baptized in water for the remission of sins - Mark 16:16 – “He who believes and is baptized will be saved; but he who does not believe will be condemned

After this, our lives must reflect the change of repentance as we daily choose to follow Christ (Luke 9:23).
